The Journal of Medicine and Dentistry (JMDNT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing high-quality research in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and related health sciences. This section provides all essential information for prospective authors.

1. Scope of the Journal

JMDNT welcomes:

• Original research articles

• Systematic reviews and meta-analyses

• Case reports

• Technical notes

• Letters to the editor

• Editorials and commentaries

Submissions outside the scope of medicine and dentistry, or those lacking scientific rigor, will not be considered.

2. Ethical Guidelines

JMDNT adheres to the COPE Code of Conduct and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
We expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to comply with the highest standards of publication ethics.

3. Peer Review Policy

JMDNT operates a double-blind peer review process.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by review by at least two independent experts.

4. Submission Guidelines

4.1 Manuscript Preparation

• Language: English (UK or US spelling, consistently applied)

• Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (with PDF preview)

• Structure for Original Articles:

  1. Title page (title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author)

  2. Abstract (250 words max, structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)

  3. Keywords (3–6)

  4. Main text (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)

  5. References (Vancouver style)

  6. Figures and tables (numbered, with captions)

4.2 Ethical Approvals

• Clinical studies must include the ethics committee approval number.

• Case reports require informed consent from the patient or legal guardian.

4.3 Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts are checked with iThenticate before review.

5. Open Access Policy

JMDNT is an open access journal.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free distribution and reproduction with proper attribution.

There are currently no article processing charges (APCs).

6. Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest, including financial relationships, personal relationships, or academic competition, at the time of submission.

7. Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to deposit underlying research data in public repositories and include a data availability statement in their manuscript.
