Submission Guidelines – Journal of Medicine and Dentistry (JMDNT)

 

1. General Information

The Journal of Medicine and Dentistry (JMDNT) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed articles in medicine, dentistry, and related health sciences. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Language: English (UK or US spelling, consistent throughout)

  • Article Types: Original research, systematic reviews, case reports, technical notes, letters to the editor, editorials

  • Open Access: All articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license

  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): None

2. Manuscript Preparation

2.1 File Formats

  • Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX with PDF preview

  • Tables, figures, and supplementary materials should be included in the submission package

2.2 Structure for Original Research Articles

  1. Title Page

    • Article title

    • Authors’ full names and affiliations

    • Corresponding author with email and ORCID

  2. Abstract (≤250 words, structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)

  3. Keywords (3–6)

  4. Main Text

    • Introduction

    • Methods

    • Results

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

  5. References – Vancouver style

  6. Tables and Figures – numbered, with captions

  7. Acknowledgements – funding, technical support, or non-author contributions

  8. Conflict of Interest Statement

  9. Data Availability Statement

2.3 Case Reports

  • Include patient consent and anonymization

  • Follow the same structural principles: Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion

3. Ethical Requirements

  • Clinical studies must have ethics committee approval and comply with the Declaration of Helsinki

  • Animal studies must follow international welfare guidelines

  • Patient consent is required for case reports, images, or identifiable data

4. Plagiarism and Originality

  • All manuscripts are checked with plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate)

  • Submissions must be original and appropriately reference prior work

5. Figures and Tables

  • Figures: JPEG, PNG, or TIFF (300 dpi minimum)

  • Tables: embedded in the main manuscript or uploaded as separate files

  • All visual material must have a descriptive caption

6. Supplementary Material

  • Optional data sets, videos, or appendices may be submitted as supplementary files

  • Ensure all supplementary files are cited in the main text

7. Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts via email: info@jmdnt.com

  • Include:

    • Manuscript file

    • Cover letter stating article type and originality

    • Conflict of interest declaration

    • Ethical approval statement

  • Authors will receive confirmation of receipt and a manuscript ID

  • Average time to first decision: 30 days

8. Peer Review and Decision

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review

  • Reviewers’ identities are concealed; authors remain anonymous

  • Editorial decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, Reject

9. Post-Acceptance

  • Manuscripts are copyedited, formatted, and published online with DOI

  • Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication
